About Us

Coming from a family who loves to cook and entertain, "Get the Party Started" was destined to be born. My Portuguese Grandparents owned a restaurant called "Home Grill" in Oakland, California. My Grandma Helen made her famous homemade pies, and all the meals were made from scratch. My Grandpa John welcomed all the guests as they entered the restaurant. Each plate was served with warmth and love. And each guest was treated like a member of the family. Year after year as I delivered rentals to clients at venues or sites, I would always see the same thing at almost every event; mothers of the brides, grandmothers, even brides themselves setting up their tabletop shortly before the wedding started. As I worked as a server at many weddings and events, I would notice family members and friends of the bride and groom helping serve plates, pouring wine and even busing the tables instead of enjoying the party. Seeing the need to keep the party going, Get The Party Started was born. Get The Party Started is not a temp agency. It is a specialized event service business that maintains the same philosophy that my Grandparents did with their restaurant decades ago. Each plate is served with love and warmth and each guest is treated like family. Each table is set with pride and perfection.

Get the Party Started provides table top set up with linens, plates, glasses flatwear, centerpieces, etc, all provided by the client.

Food Service and Wait Staff

We can set up your event as a buffet, sit down dinner or family style meal. Please contact us for additional information.

Bartending

Our bartending services include pouring beer, wine, and specialty drinks. Glasses, ice, alcohol and mixes need to be provided by the client.

Event Set Up and Clean Up

We provide table and chair set up, break down and clean up, please contact us for further details.
